Matt Glodz, a Certified Professional Resume Writer, studied business communication with leading professors in the field at Cornell University.
Matt also served as a Communication Consultant in Cornell’s Communication Center, where he helped students craft their job-search materials. He is a former writer for a Chicago Tribune publication and leverages his journalism background to powerfully convey his clients’ work experience.
When working for Fortune 500 companies in the corporate sector, Matt discovered that otherwise qualified candidates were frequently rejected from interview opportunities due to poorly written resumes.
As friends and colleagues reached out for resume help, he began writing professionally—and founded Resume Pilots, where he and his team bring writing excellence, superior service, and market expertise to applicants who are looking for job-search services beyond mere resume assistance.
For over eight years now, Matt has been writing resumes and cover letters for job seekers from all backgrounds including recent graduates, experienced professionals, and executives.

What is an Applicant Tracking System (ATS)?
What they do
Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) are used by HR departments to manage the recruiting process and keep applications organized. They also help recruiters quickly screen candidates so that only resumes relevant to a given position make it through the initial screening.
Examples of applicant tracking systems you may have come across when submitting applications include Jobvite, LinkedIn Recruit, SuccessFactors, Taleo, and Workday.
How recruiters use them
When recruiters receive a high volume of applicants for a given position, they often use ATS search and filter functions to find top candidates based on keywords related to that role. As a result, it is important to customize your resume to specific job postings, especially if you are applying for roles at larger corporations.

Do you offer any guarantees?
Your resume is just one component of the job search process, and as a result, we cannot guarantee that you will receive interviews or job offers as a result of using our services.
No trustworthy resume writer can or should guarantee placement. Too many variables beyond our control—your fit for a particular role, quality of other applicants, and interview results—can influence a hiring decision.
However, you can be confident that we will help you to identify and then highlight your strongest credentials—and to communicate them effectively to the recruiters.

What will my resume look like?
We design all our documents to adhere to the highest professional standards and incorporate design elements that will make your messages visually inviting, maximize skim-value, and draw the reader’s attention to the most important information on the page.
You can view examples of what your documents will look like on our package pages.
We do not produce documents with extensive colors, images, or graphic design because we find that they are not well received by recruiters in most professions and are not always compatible with applicant tracking systems (ATS).
What does your LinkedIn service include?
Our LinkedIn service includes the following:

How soon will I receive my documents?
Our standard turnaround time for delivery of draft documents is five business days once you provide all relevant information.
If you need a faster turnaround time, you have the option to add Rush Service to your package.
Next-Day Rush Service
Our Rush Service turnaround time for delivery of draft documents is one business day. You will also receive priority revisions.
Two-Day Express Service
Our Express Service turnaround time for delivery of draft documents is two business days. You will also receive priority revisions.
